Animated Map of Territorial Evolution of Canada

Keep the rivers and lakes in mind as this animation plays through.


NB Ont & Quebec grew tremendously into the 'territories' in 1912 - after Alta & Sask were made "too big", by men from afar looking at maps of a few (million) acres of snow.


Alas, why did we ever switch from "Watershed" Boundaries to lines of lattitude & longitude?
