Pierre Elliot-Trudeau's phony Charter - The biggest Conditional Offer Never Read by regular Canadians

 I agree with author on what The Problem is/has been and wrote him to tell him I have been working on finding The ideal Solution (one requiring the least modification of existing laws, traditions and conventions PLUS not require a Constitutional amendment) for years.

Indeed this author has pointed out the flaws about the Charter (section 1 makes the Courts supreme(not Parliament) and section 33 makes all the "rights and freedoms" conditional, that no one seems to care about or kick up a stink about. 

Never mind the overflow / confusion from TV movies about the huge differences between our system and the USA's Second version of a republican Constitution.

We had more rights under Br common law BEFORE the Charter. 

PET purposely misled the public. And everybody else blindly followed (just like w KOVID-Kraziness now) 

The author writes about the SARS mess and Govt excesses and power grabs.

But proposes no solutions because the courts and parliament and the police are useless.

But the Executive, the Crown and the Sovereign are above the mess. But fully empowered to fix it.

The only problem is a finding an acceptable-to-the-public mandate for the Executive to over-rule the Legislature. 

The easy aspect in Canada is that the Executive already has that power. The Constitution /BNA 1867 says so.

No higher law in the land.

So we must work on presenting The problem and The solution and The mandate - a Deemed Disposition of HM the Queen's Assets and Authority to the resident, at paying citizens of Canada

No one has discovered this?!? Because it is not taught. 

And because the power structure had no interest in giving away their powers .

But with SARS Covid they've abused the powers, shown WHY the Legislative power was originally (and still)reined-in by three layers of checks and balances above it.

I know at least three things about Canada's sovereignty & history, its arrested-in-development political evolution and the BNA /Constitution and its predecessors than this author does 

I have been trying to explain it to for years - even ran in 2006 as an independent to explain it. 

But no one cared what some real estate agent from Toronto was saying "that nobody had ever heard before"

Maybe this is a better time for people to "hear" and maybe we can find a better front man

I received two emails from your office today -the appended and the sustaining membership form

and that is what prompted me to write

- I hear you very loud and clear, and I like what you are saying

At one time (~1993-96) I too was on Exec at OLP & LPC and ran in two elections for them/you/us   

On the video you make many good points about the Fisc, Lockdowns, Inflation/Prices ..... and apathy.

Perhaps, since you are in Ontario, we can talk about some of these things herein

The Covid-craviness should be the Lever that pushes complacent Canadians (esp the not-Jabbed) to a) think about The Political Problem in Canada and b) do "something about it"

Question is -- what essentially is The Root of The Problem and what might be the array of possible Solutions?

In my view many Cdns over 50years old KNOW that something is wrong (compared to the Canada they knew in their youth)

- but just cannot put their finger on what it is?

How could they know - they spent their entire life leaving complex things to the experts (and were encouraged to do so)

Relying on the assertion that those Experts would Do the Right Thing, would be reliable Stewards and could be trusted to act in defense of the Common Good

The/We looked after our own families/jobs/ lives and (as per Myron Baloney) benignly neglected Watching the Watchers, eternal vigilance etc etrc 

Surprise surprise after 20+ years studying it --- I know what that something is - yes, but only the thinking portion of the Canadian polity who are not (un)consciously-committed to anti-God, anti-Family, anti-property and anti-Free Enterprise are open to the suggestion of what that "something" might be (and have the curiosity AND patience to check the details and implications)

I sent a detailed reply to  Mr Pardy at Queens article in the Fin Post and I'm finding allies within the anti-mandate, anti-compliance-passport, anti-lockdown, anti-VAXX Action groups (Action4Canada, thepowershift) plus the 'outsider' politicos Derek Sloan and Belinda/Jim Karahalios (who also seem to be starting/building NEW parties) and now you

1) THE TWO BIG PARTIES in Canada have become (since 1940) The Problem. They (from their place in the Legislative Power) took over The Executive Power during the War Effort and never gave it back

Today, a 50%+1 PM is an almost unstoppable tyrant/king (now subsidizing the purse a corporate Media)

As it's said "when you strike at the King, you must Kill the King"   in Canada the PMO/PCO cabal is headed by the King. -- see my two Diagrams from 2006 appended

2) STARTING/BUILDING another party is NOT the solution. 

Sorry. I know you are committed to that task which is a real grind (I don't want to be negative & say it's an impossible task)

 - but If the Libs have a general 25% support between elections, the PC's 25% and the UnioNDP have 15% ( Never mind that only 5% of Cdn's hold party m/ships in between elections) 

What's left?  to start/build a party? to attract funds? to inspire Candidates?

Finally, why, IF YOU did get to hold those same reins of power ... would your bunch behave any differently?!?

3) Any solution must be a magnet that attracts the innate beliefs and self-interests of Carol/Jean Canuck and it must not be complex to understand (no reading/research/ study of boring old books necessary, just "sounds good to me" agreement) 

4) Any solution must be EASY to find others who think the same way and are supporting the solution, it must have a common hero (the everyman Canuck) and a common foe - the bastards in prov Capital and Ottawa that have been lying to them/us since after WW2

5) Any solution must NOT require constitutional Conventions or gathering or debates of interest groups and/or stakeholders (WTF that means) aching for the opp to gain some more power/advantage/amelioration

6) For the same reason as #5 the whole Final Operational Plan for the "replacement of the foe" and "restoration of the hero" must be already written down, have legal authority and be easy to do

7) the Final Operational Plan must be not cost a lot of money nor time to implement/ no phase in/phase out -- just Rescind one Order in Council (PC 1940-1121 appended 2 pages) and Declare a Deemed Disposition of Sovereignty

It must come as an individual revelation -=- I use the example of the Emperor's New Clothes -- a small child blurts out what every person already knew to be true.

8) The SOLUTION is the as-written BNA/Constitution - as-written. 

Just Restore it to reality. 

Strip the PCO from the PMO and Restore the Democratic Element back to the Lowest place on the power-sharing totem 

We just need to do the FINAL step of "patriation" -- transfer the Authority and Assets of Her Majesty the Crown (CDN sovereignty) to the collective resident, taypaying citizenry of Canada ... with that Authority and those Assets placed in trust under the Stewardship of the Existing S12 Governor General. The Person of HM the Crown must remain (because EVERYTHING in Canada is owned/operated/mandated in the Name of the Crown)

We must hold elections to decide the selection of the recommendation for appointment as Future GG (i suggest holding it every-other General election, with the term starting 365 days after the return of the Writs)

Only other thing -- Our Upper House, styled, the Senate will also need it's (never adjusted for Inflation since 1867) $4000 Net Worth AND Net Property Equity Qualifications (s.23) /Disqualifications (s.31) boosted by 30 to 60 times -- that's no problem because i) no other office in Canada HAS a Net Worth/Net Equity qualification and ii) no other Dollar amount in Canada has NOT been adjusted for inflation.
